Aaron Renn - Urbanophile set to give 2 lectures

Email forwarded: One week from today on Thursday, April 7th at 12:15pm (lunch time), I’ll be giving a lecture at the Chicago Cultural Center (78 E. Washington St at the corner of Washington and Michigan). My topic will be the past, present, and future of transportation and quality of space in downtown Chicago. I’ll be reviewing the significant positive legacy of change of Mayor Daley in upgrading the quality of streets and the transportation infrastructure of downtown Chicago, take a look at some of the best that is going on elsewhere in the world today, and then take a look at where the city should be going next. This is sponsored by Friends of Downtown Chicago. This one is perfect if you work downtown. On Tuesday, April 12th at 6pm, I’ll be part of a panel debating the future of public transit in Chicago. This is at Cactus Bar and Grill, 404 S. Wells. and is sponsored by the Chicago Architecture Foundation.
