Events: Meeting tonight to discuss UIC bicycle parking

The College of Cycling (CoC) is hosting a preliminary meeting on the topic of bicycle parking for our campus. The intention of this meeting is to form a committee and possibly begin to identify short and long-range goals regarding bike parking at UIC.

WHEN: Thursday, July 31, 5:00 PM
WHERE: Jak's Tap, 901 W. Jackson

Ideally, this committee will carry members of the CoC, UIC Police, and Facilities Management. It's goal is to design and implement a UIC Bicycle Parking program that works for everyone. Topics of this discussion will include management of abandoned bicycles, bike registration, and capacity/infrastructure planning. This will be an on-going effort for the remainder of 2008, and progress reports will be provided at future CoC meetings.
